Drone Photography and Videography

Mark Guzewski is a retired engineer living in Kanata. He has been an avid photographer and videographer for decades.

Drone technology has advanced by leaps and bounds in recent years, making them very accessible to hobbyists and enthusiasts. This presentation covers how they fly, legal issues, and how to use them for aerial photography and videography. Photo and video showcases will demonstrate the astonishing capabilities of these remarkable devices.

Mlacak Centre Repair Update

The repairs to the Mlacak Centre roof and parts of the interior, that were started in May 2025, are almost complete. Work has proceeded on schedule and the contractor expects all work to be done before the end of August.

This means that we will be returning to Halls C and D for our next Camera Club meeting on September 12, 2025.

Room Change – June 6, 2025 KSCCC Meeting

Mlacak Centre Closure – June 2 – August 31, 2025

The Mlacak Centre is having its roof replaced. This construction work will affect all parts of the building other than the Seniors’ Centre and the Beaverbrook Library. There will be no public access to the parts of the building where the work is being done.

This means that the KSCCC Monthly Meeting cannot be held in the usual rooms, Halls C & D.

Instead, we will be meeting in the Owen Prince room, which is down the hall to the left of the main doors of the Seniors’ Centre.

This room is smaller than our usual meeting room, with a maximum capacity of 48 people. Because of the room capacity limits, we would ask that you do not bring any guests to the June 2025 KSCCC meeting.

We will be returning to our usual meeting rooms starting in September 2025, once construction work has been completed.

Manfred Mueller: Printmaking & Bookmaking – Preserving your Photographic Legacy

When we are no longer around, no one is going to look at our hard drive to see our photographs. Making prints, on the other hand, gives us something that we can hand down to our children and grandchildren. Prints are something we can enjoy without having to resort to technology to view our photographs.

Join club member and print maker Manfred Mueller in examining some of the options we have to make and display prints and to create photo books.
