General Guidelines for all KSCCC members:
- Scan your Centre ID card at the front desk near the main entrance when you arrive.
- In the meeting room, sign the meeting attendance sheet and if necessary, correct your personal information. If you are a new member, add your contact information to the sheet. If you are a guest and provide your contact information, you will receive an email asking if you want to subscribe to our website and receive emails from the Club.
- Remember to silence your cellphone before the meeting starts.
- If you are a member but are not receiving emails from the Club announcing meetings, etc., go to our website ksccc.ca and subscribe by following the directions under the “Subscribe” section.
- If you have a question about photography, feel free to speak with any member of the Club Executive. They all have a “Smiley Face” sticker on their name tags. They will either know the answer or direct you to someone who does.
- During the coffee break, a “Help Desk” is available for any questions or concerns members might have on a photography-related topic.
- You can register for individualised computer, tablet, phone or eReader training at the Seniors’ Centre. Topics include:
Image backup strategies
Cloud storage
Photo editing
Creating slideshows
Tech training - As each meeting concludes, Meeting Chairs will remind you of the date of the next meeting, the topic of the monthly challenge and the submission deadline.
- Submit your images (up to three photos or videos up to five seconds long) for the monthly challenge by email to contact@ksccc.ca. Instructions are on the website, ksccc.ca, under “Pictures/How to submit”.
- Indicate whether you would like one of your submissions to be reviewed during the “Review” portion of the meeting.
- We welcome members’ slideshows, and they will be shown at the meeting as time permits. For more information on how to make a slideshow, refer to our website. Click on “Pictures” and “Make a Slideshow”. If you need help in preparing your slideshow, send an email to contact@ksccc.ca and we will find someone to help you.
- If you would like to give an educational talk or deliver a short 10- to 15-minute presentation at an upcoming meeting, or recommend a speaker, send a message to contact@ksccc.ca or speak with a member of the Executive.
