KSCCC Meeting Protocols

General Guidelines for all KSCCC members:

  1. Scan your Centre ID card at the front desk near the main entrance when you arrive.
  2. In the meeting room, sign the meeting attendance sheet and if necessary, correct your personal information. If you are a new member, add your contact information to the sheet. If you are a guest and provide your contact information, you will receive an email asking if you want to subscribe to our website and receive emails from the Club.
  3. Remember to silence your cellphone before the meeting starts.
  4. If you are a member but are not receiving emails from the Club announcing meetings, etc., go to our website ksccc.ca and subscribe by following the directions under the “Subscribe” section.
  5. If you have a question about photography, feel free to speak with any member of the Club Executive. They all have a “Smiley Face” sticker on their name tags. They will either know the answer or direct you to someone who does.
  6. During the coffee break, a “Help Desk” is available for any questions or concerns members might have on a photography-related topic.
  7. You can register for individualised computer, tablet, phone or eReader training at the Seniors’ Centre. Topics include:
    Image backup strategies
    Cloud storage
    Photo editing
    Creating slideshows
    Tech training
  8. As each meeting concludes, Meeting Chairs will remind you of the date of the next meeting, the topic of the monthly challenge and the submission deadline.
  9. Submit your images (up to three photos or videos up to five seconds long) for the monthly challenge by email to contact@ksccc.ca. Instructions are on the website, ksccc.ca, under “Pictures/How to submit”.
  10. Indicate whether you would like one of your submissions to be reviewed during the “Review” portion of the meeting.
  11. We welcome members’ slideshows, and they will be shown at the meeting as time permits. For more information on how to make a slideshow, refer to our website. Click on “Pictures” and “Make a Slideshow”. If you need help in preparing your slideshow, send an email to contact@ksccc.ca and we will find someone to help you.
  12. If you would like to give an educational talk or deliver a short 10- to 15-minute presentation at an upcoming meeting, or recommend a speaker, send a message to contact@ksccc.ca or speak with a member of the Executive.
  13. If you have concerns about the meetings or wish to provide constructive feedback, send a message to contact@ksccc.ca or speak with a member of the Executive.
