Camera club member Ted Timmons invites you to join him for a journey down the east coast of South America where Thar’ Be Penguins.
He will take us through the trip starting in Buenos Aires, to Uruguay then along the Patagonia coast, across the South Atlantic to the Falklands, then south to a magical few days cruising the Antarctic Peninsula, finishing in Ushuaia which is known as the “end of the world.”
There were plenty of photo opportunities to capture the culture and highlights of the different locations. Ted will be presenting photos and providing a few stories about the trip. The highlighting of the trip was the opportunity to walk with three of the eighteen species of penguins in their natural habitat. These cute, flightless birds are sure to entertain. Bring your smiles.

Ted started on his journey with photography as a young lad when his grandfather gave him a rangefinder camera. The journey did not move along much until high school when he got his first SLR and was part of the yearbook team. Life got in the way in the form of family and work, putting photography into the hobby category. He traded in the SLR for a point and shoot.
Ted started SCUBA diving in 2001 and that sparked the joy of photography again. Unfortunately life got in the way again so he now focuses his efforts on different and varied subjects. You can see some of Ted’s photos at imagesbyted.com
