This is the first of three videos that show how easy it is to make a slideshow using the Photos program that is built into Windows 10. In this video we’ll find and run the Photos program, add images, preview our creation, and save our slideshow as a video.
We’re starting a series of posts on how to make your own slideshows in hopes than more club members will be inspired to submit slideshows to share at our meetings like the one Debbie and Catherine shared at our December meeting.
The guidelines are here and there’s a (slightly out of date) post here.
We’ll be providing information on how to find royalty free music, on making slideshows with Windows, and with Apple devices.
The Fix My Pic candidate for this month is from Ted Timmons. Images are available for download in dng, nef, and jpeg formats by clicking one of the formats in the list below then clicking on the download icon (a downward pointing arrow) in the upper right corner.
Due to the Holiday schedule, for this month only, submission of your “Fix” must be submitted by noon on Sunday, January 3rd.
Images must be emailed to the regular club email address: contact@ksccc.ca
Submissions should be renamed to:
Fix Ted's Pic by {your name}.jpg
In the event that you may not be able to participate in the meeting to provide your comments on what steps you did, please include some notes on your process.

Mute your microphone unless you are speaking to the group. If your microphone is on, avoid sound playing in room, especially music
Disable your camera to minimize bandwidth requirements. If your camera is on avoid backgrounds with a lot of motion (ceiling fans, traffic out a window, etc.)
If you have a question type it into the chat box
Log in 30 minutes before the meeting starts if you need to test your set-up, otherwise log in 5-15 minutes before the meeting
Notify the host using chat if something is not working
To get the hosts attention try holding up a white card in front of your camera
Use a headset/earphones/ear buds if you have them. The echo cancellers will thank you
Use a headset with a microphone if you have one. Everyone will hear you much better than if you use the microphone built into your device or webcam

Please accept our apologies for displaying the wrong slideshow during the meeting. The version we played cropped some of the images. The above slideshow displays the images as submitted by our club members.
