Meting date was corrected from April 2 to April 9.
Stephen J. Stephen will be presenting “The Wildlife of Ottawa”, an overview of the wonderful and varied natural subjects that can be found in the greater capital region at our meeting on April 9th at 9:15 a.m.
Stephen graduated with a B.Sc from the University of New Brunswick and, after working for a couple of years, obtained his M.Sc. from Memorial University of Newfoundland.
Stephen had been doing 35mm film photography for many years when he moved to digital photography in 2005. He has since focussed his photographic efforts on wildlife with birds being his main subjects. His knowledge of his subjects allows him to capture and share some of nature’s beauty and behaviour through his images.
In 2009, Stephen launched his photography website Stephen J Stephen Photography. He has exhibited his work in many juried Artisan fairs. Stephen has also given instructional talks on his images and photographic experiences at a number of venues including: the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (Ottawa), the Eastern Ontario Woodlot Owners Association, the Kemptville Horticultural Society and numerous seniors residences in west Ottawa. He has also acted as an external judge for several photographic competitions for the Camera Club of Ottawa and for the Kemptville Horticultural Society.
Stephen has also had two of his articles with images published in the online Canadian Nature Photographer Magazine.
