KSCCC members have been invited to participate in the Camera Club of Ottawa fleamarket:

Hello,

My name is Catherne Gardner, and I am the President of the Camera Club of Ottawa. I am writing you to invite your members to join us on Tues. Feb. 13th for our 2024 Flea market & Social which will be held at the Hintonburg CC, 1064 Wellington St. W from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM.

If any of your members have any photo gear that they would like to sell, we have full and shared tables available. There are no admission or table fee. Your members also keep 100% of their sales.

February Monthly Meeting

The next monthly meeting will be held on Friday, February 2nd starting at 9:15 a.m.

The agenda for the meeting is:

  • Opening Remarks
  • Presentation on Thinking Outside the Box by Jay-Dee Purdie
  • Coffee Break: We are trying something new during coffee break this month. There will be a “help desk” available for 20 minutes for any questions or concerns members might have. This month, Debbie and Jay-Dee will be available.
  •      
  • Slideshow of Member Images from the January Challenge on “Emotions”
  • The next Meeting will be on March 1st. The theme for the Monthly Challenge will be “People in Landscapes“
  • Monthly Photo Review
  • Fix my Pic
  • Member Slide Shows (if time permits)
  • Concluding Remarks

Your images must be emailed to contact@ksccc.ca by noon on Friday, January 26th to be included in the meeting. Indicate clearly in your email that your images are for the Monthly Challenge and which one you would like to submit for the Photo Review. You may send up to three images for the Monthly Challenge and nominate one image for the Monthly Photo Review.

If you do not receive an email confirming that your images have been received, send a follow-up email to contact@ksccc.ca. For details on how to submit photos, including formats and titles, go to our Pictures/How to Submit page.

KSCCC at the Library

Until the end of January, the KSCCC will be promoting the club and showcasing our work in the display case at the entrance to the Ottawa Public Library, Beaverbrook Branch. The theme is Winter – A great time to create pictures. Thanks to photographers Paula Brown, Debbie Pinard, Jane Phipps, Michelle Faber, Ted Timmons, and Catherine Easton for their contributions to the display. If you are heading to the Seniors Centre, pop by the Library and have a peek at the display.
