She’s 9 and Already Winning Major Photography Awards – Meet the Eagle Eyed Girl

What can a 9 year old teach you about photography? A lot more than you’d think. In this inspiring episode of Visual Education, Karl Taylor sits down with Jamie Smart, also known as the Eagle Eyed Girl, an award-winning young photographer who’s already leaving seasoned pros in awe. From waking at dawn to capture elusive birds, to handholding an 800mm lens and mastering macro flash techniques, Jamie’s skill and passion for wildlife photography are truly next level.

New Monthly Challenge Topics

Once again it is time to establish the topics for the Monthly Challenges for next year. If time permits, we will ask members at the meeting for suggestions – BUT the March 7 meeting has a really busy schedule, so . . .

We will have a Monthly Assignment suggestion box and pens and papers at the back of the room for your suggestions or alternatively, you can submit your suggestion to contact@ksccc.ca with the subject line “Monthly Challenge Topic”. During the coffee break and for a short time after the meeting John Williamson will be at the table if you would like to discuss your challenge suggestions.

Your suggestion will be forwarded to the executive for consideration.

You can check the club’s website to see the current monthly challenges or check out all of the previous challenge topics and images
