Karen Bell’s Presentation and Frozen Bubbles Recipe

You can view Karen Bell’s presentation on Creative In-Camera Photography from our meeting on February 5th, 2021 by clicking here.

During her presentation Karen also showed us how to take pictures using Frozen Bubbles. Here are the instructions to make them:

Frozen Bubbles
– Mix together 200 ml of warm water, 35 ml corn syrup, 35 ml dish soap and 2 tbsp sugar.
– For bubbles to freeze before they pop the temperature needs to be well below freezing. Ideal conditions are -25 degrees C with no wind.
– Using a straw, gently blow bubbles onto snow or whatever surface you choose.
Grab your camera and start shooting as ice patterns begin to form and before the bubbles break!
